Old New Orleans Rum
If you’re looking for a rum that is more, well, rummy, just turn to the Big Easy. New Orleans is culturally very closely connected to the Caribbean, and it’s certainly no surprise to see rum being made there once again. Celebration Distillation (the firm was founded by artists and entertainers!) is actually located in the city of New Orleans, another boon to the lacovore in us all, though the walk from the company’s Frenchman Street location is a bit off the beaten path. Having celebrated its 11th anniversary last year, the distillery has earned high acclaim not only from the local bar scene, but among the hoards of visitors who have enjoyed any of the four types of its Old New Orleans Rum on-site.

I guess you read different economic texts than I; my reading refers to the 'quadrilateral of trade', which includes either Canada or the US, and then England, for textiles etc. to take to Africa.

Isn't Puerto Rico part of the US? My personal favorite is Don Q - a true treasure.
