Misleading headline-- it implies the Dewar's was the best of a lineup of blended Scotches, which I found very intriguing. It's still interesting to see that it beat out a bunch of single malts, but in that case the title should be
"Dewar's blend beats out single malts."

Right courgette?
It makes me wonder how much to embrace the conclusions of other tastings
when I now compare my reaction with a booze I'm familiar with
and have actually tasted some of the offerings in the line-up.
I love the Dewar's 18.
But to included it in a group with Highland Park and Lagavulin
is kind of eyebrow raising for me.

I can't agree more!
I thought when I saw the headline it would reveal comments on great blends such as Black Bottle or Chivas 12 year old, but no it drags Malts into the same sentence.
It's a bit like asking you to compare a Bordeaux and a Sauvignon Blanc - same basic drink but hardly comparable!
