I am not a fan of either of these drinks - but I guess the "Patriotic Margarita" is by definition the worst one?
Who created those??? A total amateur?
A margarita has tequila, bitter orange liqueur and lime by default - so I don't understand how you can name a drink after it, which has nothing of the signature ingredients [except of lime - but you can't call it signature - can you?].
Putting long drinks and highballs into tumblers [your rock glass] is also a sign of bad style. And the word schnapps is everything but technical.
Could you please raise a bit the standard here?

I agree w/ opinionatedalchemist. A strawberry daiquiri is made with the ingredients in this recipe - without the hpnotiq - not a margarita. All in all, though, it would be a terribly sweet drink, & I don't feel hpnotiq is a good match for that flavor of daiquiri. You appear to be sacrificing taste for color alone. I handle these products every day. Sometimes I drink them. Stick with a well-made (seasonally fresh right now) strawberry daiquiri & add a skewer of nice fat blueberries as a garnish.

I have to agree with both opinions and chefcarol's suggestion.. keep it simple and fresh. I'm not a fan of any blue drink- so perhaps my color prejudice is unduly influencing my opinion.
How about a fresh limeade with sliced red chile peppers, vodka and a splash of soda water for a bit of fizz - more of a fireworks theme ?

Well, I made the Patriotic Margarita for a 4th of July gathering and it went over quite well. It was a little sweet but not overly. It WAS all about the color! It was FUN!

Wow, those cocktails don't look very good. Hpnotiq? Really?
