Eager to please but looking for a little advice this Sunday? Try an updated gin and tonic with tarragon sprigs, or a Bloody Mary with bacon-flavored vodka. The Happy Dad
1 1/2 oz Oval Vodka1/2 oz Cointreau
1 oz Campari
orange twist for garnish
Shake first three ingredients with ice in a shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with orange twist.
The Godfather
1 1/2 oz. Scotch Whisky1/2 oz. Amaretto
Combine in a rocks glass with ice.
Bakon Mary
1½ oz. Bakon Vodka in a pint glass filled with ice.Fill glass with tomato juice
1 dash each of celery salt and ground black pepper
2-4 dashes each of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco
1/8 tsp. horseradish
Shake and pour into a salt rimmed pint glass. Garnish with a celery stalk and your favorite pickled vegetables.
Summer Gin and Tonic
Ice2 1/2 ounces gin
2 finely chopped tarragon sprigs
4 ounces chilled tonic water
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin and tarragon sprigs and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass and top with the tonic water.
Old Fashioned
2 oz. bourbon or rye whiskey2 dashes Angostura bitters
1/4 oz. 2:1 rich simple syrup (or one sugar cube if preferred)
orange peel
Ice cubes
Muddle syrup and orange peel in glass. Add bitters and whiskey and stir. Add ice cubes and stir again.

What options do you have for low calorie cocktails? Agave Nectar is still basically sugar and not really low cal. Monin and Splenda leave an awful after taste.
