It's Oscar time again! After a straight month of award shows, the events have culminated for the biggest night of all: the Oscars.
This Sunday, February 26, marks the 84th Annual Academy Awards and viewers everywhere will be gathering to cheer on their favorite actors and actresses. While many will celebrate the evening's elegance with indulgences like wine and cheese, why not drink like the event attendees and stir up some elegantly crafted cocktails?
We've put together a show-stopping list of beautiful and delicious cocktails, each with a perfect tie in to the nine stars of the evening, the best picture nominees.

The Artist - Artist's Special
Ingredients1 oz Scotch Whisky
1 oz Sweet Sherry
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Grenadine Syrup
Preparation
Shake well and strain into cocktail glass
The Descendants - Blue Hawaii
Ingredients2 parts Vodka
2 parts Blue Curacao
1 part Coconut Syrup
1 part Pineapple Juice
Cherry
Preparation
Fill a chilled highball glass with ice. Add vodka, blue curacao and coconut syrup, top with pineapple juice. Garnish with cherry.
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close - Loud Mouth
Ingredients1 oz White Tequila
1 oz Kahlua
3 oz Cranberry Juice
Preparation
Shake in cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into highball glass over ice cubes.
The Help - Help Wanted
Ingredients1 oz Bourbon Whiskey
1 oz Apricot Brandy
1 dash Lemon Juice
Preparation
Pour all three ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a highball glass.
Hugo - Rail Splitter Mocktail (kid appropriate)
Ingredients2 tsp Simple Syrup
Lemon Juice
Ginger Ale
Preparation
Stir ingredients in mixing glass with ice. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
Midnight in Paris - Parisian
Ingredients1 oz Dry Vermouth
1 oz Gin
1/4 oz Creme de Cassis
Preparation
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into cocktail glass and garnish with lemon peel.
Moneyball - Baseball Pleasure
Ingredients1 1/2 oz Amaretto
1 oz Vodka
1 1/2 oz Whiskey
Orange Juice
Preparation
Mix first three ingredients in a collins glass, top with orange juice.
The Tree of Life - A Blossomed Tree
Ingredients1 part Apricot Brandy
1 part Dry Vermouth
1 part Scotch Whisky
1 dash Orange Bitters
1 Cherry
Preparation
Add all ingredients in mixing glass over ice. Stir and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with cherry.
War Horse - The Dark Horse
Ingredients2 oz Rye Whiskey
1/2 oz Cynar
3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
Maraschino Cherries
Preparation
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass over ice. Strain into chilled cocktail glass and garnish with cherries.
