Russell’s Reserve Sweeps Bourbon Cocktails


In our eighth installment of the Ultimate Cocktail Challenge, we bring you the results of the bourbon cocktails, including the classics the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, and the Whiskey Sour. Russell’s Reserve swept the competition, being the best possible choice for each cocktail. Check out what the judges had to say here!

2 oz. Bourbon Whiskey
1 oz. Martini Sweet Vermouth
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with three brandied cherries on a pick.

Recipe-Old Fashioned

2 oz. Bourbon Whiskey
1 Tsp. Demerara Syrup
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Muddle, stir with ice, and strain over one large cube into a chilled rocks glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

Recipe-Whiskey Sour

2 oz. Bourbon Whiskey
¼ oz. Lemon Juice
¼ oz. Simple Syrup

Shake all ingredients with ice and serve up in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a Luxardo Maraschino cherry and an orange slice.
