Bourbon Old-Fashioned #2 (High Proof Bourbon)

Ingredients

• 2 oz Bourbon Whiskey
• 1 tsp Simple Syrup
• 1 dash Bitters
• 1 Maraschino Cherry
• 1 strip of Orange Peel

Preparation

Fill old fashioned glass with Ice. Add bitters and syrup over ice. Pour bourbon over ice. Stir. Twist orange over drink. Then swirl drink with orange strip, and rub on glass rim. Drop strip into drink. Add cherry.

Description

Good general recipe for a higher proof (above 80) bourbon. Just enough sweetness, bitters, and garnishes to accent your top shelf high proof bourbon. Really allows the bourbon's true flavor to shine through. My favorite recipe for Knob Creek.
